Effective customs solutions in Mexico.
At DELTAX we design solutions by providing advice on foreign trade.
DELTAX, is a legal and business consulting firm that stands out for providing a comprehensive service in foreign trade and customs matters. Considering the new legal paradigm that exists in Mexico since the 2008 and 2011 constitutional reforms, the continuous search for using tax and foreign trade benefits that derive not only from national laws, regulations and decrees, but also from the international agreements signed by Mexico, is a constant task of all the members of the firm; this policy has provided multiple benefits to our clients by optimizing their foreign trade operations.
Taking advantage of the different legal mechanisms, tax deferral programs, tax and tariff advantages, control and dispute settlement methods integrated into the different domestic regulations and international trade agreements, allows our clients to gain competitive advantages in each of their markets. Furthermore, it allows them to perform in international markets, which materializes in reducing their production costs and increasing their operations.
Within the framework of taking advantage of international free trade agreements, our office is aware of Mexico's dynamism in this field, since it currently has international trade agreements in force allowing it to interact under preferential conditions with more than 50 countries. In addition, the Mexican Federal Government has signed Agreements for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments (APRPI) with more than 30 countries, and also has Economic Complementation Agreements and Partial Scope Agreements. The foregoing, together with its active participation in organizations such as the WTO (World Trade Organization), APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), and ALADI (Latin American Integration Association), make Mexico a global business platform. For our clients, knowing all the benefits that signing all these agreements represents, becomes an important competitive advantage, and our task is to make them available to them and implement policies for their use and defense.
Despite the protectionist policies shown by some countries, or perhaps on the basis thereof, the evolution of world trade shows a new dynamism. The addition of trade partners by the States, and the development and integration of economic regions, require that every company receives professional consultancy. Especially if Mexico’s recent signing of the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) is taken into account, which reinforces the economic integration of North America, and the so-called CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership), seeking to integrate business partners in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to these two recent trade agreements, Mexico has an international economic agreement called FTA EU-MX (Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and the European Union); this agreement integrates solid commercial relations with the European Union. In addition to these agreements, Mexico has other 10 agreements allowing it to seek commercial opportunities with more than 50 countries.
Our lawyers and consultants provide clients a comprehensive consulting service on foreign trade and customs, in order to determine the implementation of a correct regulatory compliance with both domestic and international regulations, thereby gaining a competitive advantage for our clients, and the peace of mind of having legal certainty in transactional processes.
Our office has an extensive experience in foreign trade and customs. In addition to the above, it has been involved and maintains a business relationship based on years of trust and support with different agents and foreign trade operators, such as customs agents, local and international logistics operators (air, land, sea and rail transport), warehouses, bonded warehouses, in-bond sites, among others. This has allowed the members of our firm to extensively study the special domestic and international legislation regulating the interaction with these foreign trade operators, and allows us to be able to advise our clients and support them in interacting with these agents.
